Premier Women’s Health’s Laser Skin Care Center Honors Mothers

Offering Special Mother’s Day Packages and Complimentary Anti-Aging Product Giveaways Designed for Every Age and Skin Type

Bay Minette, AL (April 30, 2015) — With Sunday, May 10 fast approaching, Mother’s Day is just around the corner.  Premier Women’s Health Laser Skin Care Services is now offering special discounts and complimentary anti-aging product giveaways for women with maturing skin – every age, skin color and type – looking to regain a youthful glow. This is the perfect gift for the mothers in your life!

Now through the end of May, patients who schedule a facial consultation with Jessica Thompson, PWH’s licensed esthetician and laser technician, will receive 20 percent off any of the clinical grade chemical peels offered at the clinic —including its PCA Sensi Peel which is gentle enough for first time patients and those with highly sensitive skin.

Those patients who schedule an appointment before April 30th will also be entered in a drawing to win a complimentary Mother’s Day basket filled with products from the PCA Age Control Solution treatment system ($100 value).

With services provided at its clinic locations in Bay Minette and Daphne, PWLSCC offers laser skin therapies including hair removal services and corrective laser skin treatments, as well as chemical peels, detox masks and microdermabrasion.

“Many of the patients we see at the Skin Care Center with more mature skin have sun damage from years past that contributes to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and loss of elasticity,” said Thompson. “The PCA facial treatments and wonderful line of anti-aging products can help in turning back the hands of time when it comes to skin care.”

Jessica Thompson, L.E., is an experienced licensed esthetician and laser technician knowledgeable in the latest laser and skin care therapies available.  She is devoted to helping each client look and feel their best through the use of advanced and innovative laser and skin care therapies. With more than six years of experience, Jessica has a deep knowledge of laser hair reduction and laser and skin therapies. She spends time getting to know each patient, including taking a thorough history, to better meet the needs of those she serves.

According to Thompson, mature skin is a particularly delicate skin type that requires women to have a wide array of vitamin-fortified products in their beauty arsenal. Thompson said that serums containing Vitamins E and C, as well as Renitol—a gentler version of Vitamin A—is the best way to treat fine lines and wrinkles associated with aging. Along with topical treatment, keeping skin hydrated is key for women with mature skin.

“Hydrated skin is always the healthiest looking skin,” Thompson said.

Dedicated to the goal of comprehensive health care for women, Dr. Jeff Fahy — a Yale University-trained and board-certified gynecologist and pelvic surgeon specializing in advance hormone treatments — says Mother’s Day is also the perfect time to remind women to schedule an appointment for their yearly gynecological exam, mammogram and other preventive health care screenings.

“Regular health screenings are key to early detection and successful treatment of disease,” said Fahy.  “Being proactive when it comes to your health can ultimately save your life.”

PWLSCC will be also launch a Facebook series later this month on caring for mature skin. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 251.937.2380 or visit www.drfahy.com.

Quick Tips for Treating Mature Skin

Quick Tip #1 – Hydrate

Women with more mature skin usually have sun damage from years past that increases the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and loss of elasticity. Sun damaged skin needs extra hydration. Be sure to drink plenty of water to help with overall cell hydration.  The PCA Collagen Hydrator is also a great product that contains a rich blend of antioxidants, humectants, shea butter and emollients formulated to deliver intense hydration to dry and mature skin.

Quick Tip #2 — Use Topical Vitamin Serums

Having a wide array of vitamin-fortified serums in your beauty arsenal is a must for women looking to treat and relax fine lines and wrinkles. Topical serums containing Vitamins C and E work to relax fine lines and brighten the skin to give mature skin a more youthful glow. The PCA Intensive Clarity Treatment is a nighttime treatment formulation that pairs 0.5% pure retinol with phytic acid, phenylethyl resorcinol and gluconolactone to promote an even skin tone and a clear complexion.

 Quick Tip #3 — Exfoliate

Exfoliation rejuvenates the skin by increasing cell turnover and bringing fresh new cells to the surface. Regular exfoliation, along with the use of the PCA topical products, will benefit women who may be hesitant to try a chemical peel or laser treatment.
